A lifelong area resident, he was born Jan. 20, 1986, in Erie, the son of Daniel J. and Janis L. Alm Bowman.
He was a 2004 graduate of Panama Central School and was employed with the ground crew in landscaping at Chautauqua Institution.
He loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. He also enjoyed painting, auto body work and welding.
Surviving, besides his parents with whom he made his home, are two sisters: Christina L. and Megan D. Bowman, both of Ashville; his maternal grandmother, Marian J. Alm of Jamestown; his paternal grandmother, Rose S. Bowman of Jamestown; and his maternal great-grandmother, Ferne L. Burley of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond H. Alm, who died Sept. 14, 1985; and paternal grandfather, Leonard L. Bowman, who died July 2, 1996.
