The funeral for Robert Edgar Lail Sr., 66, of Rt. 10, Hickory, who died Tuesday, will be conducted by the Rev. Nevin H. Feather at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hickory Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Born Oct. 10, 1919, in Catawba County, he was a son of the late Edgar Ransom and Beulah Irene Eckard Lail.
A veteran of World War II, he was a retired truck docker with Merchants Distributors Inc. and a retired mechanic for Southern Railway.
Survivors include his wife, Blandena Passmore Lail; two daughters, Jeanette Goodwin of Hickory and Sarah Eaton of Valparaiso, Ind.; a son, Robert Edgar "Bob ' Lail Jr. of
Hickory; a sister, Helen Austin of Hickory; six grandchildren; and a great grandson.
