He grew up in the Claysville Community and remained friends with the people of Claysville.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening and Alabama football. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and above all, he loved the Lord. Master-electrician, remodeling houses, construction and diesel mechanics were a few of his many talents.
He is survived by wife, Rebecca Sims; sons, Kenneth Sims, Joseph Sims (Mary), Jeremy Sims, James Sims (Crystal) and Patrick Temple; daughter, Jana Sims; step-daughter, Dusty Lang; six grandchildren; special friends, Van Moore and Jackie Moore.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Taft and Maymie Moore Sims and 1 grandchild.
