A Memorial Service to celebrate Fran's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service in the Reception Hall of Ramsey Funeral Home. It is highly encouraged for family and friends to wear purple or lavender, to the service, as it was Fran's favorite color.
Fran was born on September 7, 1939 in Lookout, West Virginia to parents Rubert and Olive (Thomas) Jenkins. Growing up, Fran had many interests which led to her to becoming an entrepreneur. She had passions that allowed her the ability to be self-employed, most recently she owned a feed store in Liberty Hill, TX. In 2013, Fran retired from her business after 18 years. Fran was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed the friendships she developed over the years at the feed store. The family would like to make a special acknowledgment and extend a thanks to Fran’s best friend, Pam Allison.
To cherish her memory, Fran leaves behind her life partner, Rusty Childers of Liberty Hill, Texas; son, Gene Strickland and wife Terry Wallace of Georgetown, Texas; son, Bryan Strickland and wife Sandy of Round Rock, Texas; grandson, Christopher Strickland and wife Yuliya of Edinburg, Texas; granddaughter, Samantha Schwartz and husband John of Georgetown, Texas; great-grandsons: Nolan Strickland, Jonah Strickland, John Schwartz V, and Connor Schwartz; nephew, Lewis Phillips; sister, Carolyn Taylor of West Virginia; and her brother, Robert Jenkins of Virginia.
