Son of Mary Ann (nee Thompson) & John Harrington.
Roy enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 30 August 1915. He served as a Corporal with the 27th Battalion during World War 1. He was wounded in action on 5 November 1916. He returned to Australia and was discharged on 20 July 1919.
He died aged 85 years.
