Rodney Arthur Meyer, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the age of 87.
Beloved father of Rodney A. Meyer, Jr. (Donna), Debra A. Meyer (Tom Gill), Steven J. Meyer (Helen). Grandfather of Adam Sartele, Alicia Meyer and Lauren Meyer. Brother of Joan Brooks and Gary Meyer. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley F. Meyer; his parents, Joseph Meyer and Edmonia Billings Meyer; and his brother, Errol Meyer.
Mr. Meyer was a retired Electrician and a member of IBEW Local 130 for over 67 years. He enjoyed going fishing and watching football.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
