Lifelong Soldotna resident, Mr. Jeffery Tanner Scott Moore, 20, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in a motor vehicle accident near Fred Meyers in Soldotna.

Memorial services will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Hwy – Kenai, Alaska 99611.

Jeffery was born Oct. 6, 1997 to Peggy Moore and Daniel Rogers in Soldotna, Alaska.

He graduated high school in Soldotna. Jeff was a caretaker most recently.

The family wrote, "Jeffery was a light to the lives of nearly everyone he met.

He had a joyful personality and he loved to make people laugh.

He was very strong willed, he endured a lot in his life, but was determined to live life to the fullest.

One of his greatest possessions was the knowledge he accumulated.

He had a big heart and was loved by many people.

He spent the last months of his life being a caretaker for his mother whom passed away in January.

He provided genuine loving and dedicated care that was admirable to everyone in his life.

He was taken too soon.

Heaven received an amazing soul, he will be missed immensely."

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Moore; grandfather, Hubert Moore; and aunt, Valerie Rogers.

He is survived by his paternal grandfather, Marvin Rogers of Soldotna; father, Daniel Rogers of Soldotna; aunts, Aprel Rogers of Soldotna, Keeley Rogers Brown of Texas, JoAnn Harpole of Soldotna, Lisa Moore of Soldotna and Sharon Moore of Soldotna; close cousins, Garret Moore of Soldotna, Harland Richards of Soldotna, Aleena Richards of Soldotna, Kaliesha Hart of Sterling, Logan Hart of Sterling, Walter Haybeck IV of Sterling, Josie Harpole of Soldotna, Josh Harpole of Soldotna and Dawson Harpole of Soldotna.
