Stephen E. Walton, 63, of Stockport and Wellston, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 after a battle with cancer. He was born on November 8, 1954, in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late William and Frances (Fraley) Walton.

Steven was a very hard worker and recently retired after 38 years of dedicated service to his job in Stockport. He enjoyed fishing and watching football. He greatest joy in life came from being there for and spending time with his sons, and grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Shanon (Kim) Walton and Kasey Walton; grandchildren: Tori, Katie, Nikki, Lindsay, Casey, and Jacob; a sister, Gloria Foughty; special cousins, Danny and Kay McManis; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Sonny; three sisters, Lou, Margie, and Kay; as well as an infant sister, Eleanor.

A funeral service celebrating Stephen’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 in the chapel on R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home also on Monday, one hour prior to services from 2 to 3 p.m.
