MATTISON, Myra Minter (McLarry) Aged 81 passed away on May 8. She was a proud daughter of Sulphur Springs, TX.
During her life she was a much loved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, coworker and friend. Myra could be tough as nails, but had a heart as big as Texas. She loved reading and games of all kinds especially crossword puzzles and solitaire. She was someone to lean on in hard times and ready to share a joke or a good story and a smoke in good times. She was incredibly gifted at cooking, sewing, quilting, and gardening.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years Joe D. Mattison. She will be missed dearly by the four children she nurtured and educated and her four beautiful grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 2:00pm at Three Forks of Forney at 335 S. FM 548. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Myra's favorite charity The North Texas Food Bank.
