Janet Fay Burton Hale, 80, of Elizabeth, WV, went to her permanent home on March 21, 2018.
Janet was born on December 9, 1937, in Kenna, WV, daughter of the late Warren and Blanche Counts Koontz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Bob, Floyd, Okey and Rick Koontz, sisters, Rosalie Kerwood, Eloise Sayre, Loretta Full, and LuAnn Koontz; first husband, Rolland Burton, and second husband, John Hale.
She attended Drift Run Church. She was a homemaker, enjoyed traveling, and was active in Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her children, Rodney (Sue) Burton, Jamie (Debbie) Burton, Lucinda (Doug) Fought, and Jeff (Paula) Burton; grandchildren, Andrea (Doug) Florence, Michael (Tressa) Burton, Heather (Chris) Carrico, Holly Fought, Amanda (Craig) Conaway, Billy (Kaitlin) Burton, Leanna (Chase) Corbitt, and Sarah Burton and Don Harris; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Ted (Marjorie) Koontz, Fred (Carol) Koontz; and sister, Betty Anderson.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV, with Reverend Jamie Burton officiating, assisted by Pastor Dave Long. Burial will follow in Koontz Family Cemetery in Goldtown, WV.
Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
