Born on May 22, 1932 to the late Alonzo and Ester Clardy, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Korean War Veterans Association, a Teamsters Union member and a Mason.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his 6 children; Helga Longino (Tony), James H. Clardy, Gloria ”Sam” Clardy, Rick Cartwright (Kimberly), Amanda Bridges (Tim), and Cathy Hawkes (Steve); 8 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Taylor; 8 brothers and sisters.
Burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
