Gloria’s survivors include her three children: Deborah J. Wise of Carlisle, Jeffrey L. Wise and his wife, Bonnie, of Duncannon, Thomas P. Wise and his wife, Sue, of Middletown; her granddaughter, Michelle of Harrisburg; her sister, Linda J. Seville and her husband, Joseph, of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Gloria graduated from William Penn High School in Harrisburg. She retired from PennDOT, after 25 years of service working as a clerk. Gloria was a lifelong member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening tomatoes and caring for her cats, all of whom she loved dearly. Gloria had a special smile that she knew could make others laugh. Most importantly, she was a wonderful mother and always put her children first.
All are welcome to join Gloria’s family at her viewing on Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until time of casket closing at 10:50 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with The Reverend Joseph Y. Seville officiating. Gloria’s family invites everyone to join them for a Dutch treat reception at Hoss's Steak & Sea House, 61 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 immediately following the service. Burial in Mechanicsburg Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
