Sarah Louise Jensen, 74, Minot, formerly of Sherwood and Mohall, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at a Minot nursing home.
She was born May 31, 1943, in Paragould, AR, to Louis and Sarah (Ladd) Freeman. She was raised in Paragould and graduated from Oak Grove High School, in Paragould, in 1961. Following high school, she cared for her mother and later worked at a shirt factory. She lived in St. Louis, MO, for a time and worked as a bookkeeper. She moved to California and worked at an ammunition factory checking detonator pins on bombs. She moved back to Arkansas and worked for several years as a librarian on a bookmobile.
She moved to North Dakota to help her sister-in-law care for her children. It was here that she met her future husband, Dale Jensen. She moved back to Arkansas and shortly thereafter, Dale went to Arkansas to bring her back to North Dakota.
Sarah and Dale were married March 5, 1979. They lived in Sherwood and Mohall for many years. Sarah worked as a child care provider and served as librarian at the Mohall Public Library for 14 years. Dale died November 7, 2017.
Sarah was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall. She enjoyed spending time with Dale, their nieces and nephews, reading and watching sci-fi movies.
