Beverly "Bev" Irene Sutton, age 87, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Beverly was born on November 16, 1929 in North Dakota to Coover and Elsie Austin. In 1958, Bev was married to the love of her life, William Wesley Sutton in Muskegon, and together they were blessed with two daughters. Beverly was graduated from Michigan State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was an elementary school teacher for many years, 20 of those years at Orchard View Schools. Beverly was passionate about teaching children to read. She also loved to sew and make quilts for her children and grandchildren, as well as designing and making banners for church. She enjoyed sports, mostly the Detroit Tigers and Lions and of course, the MSU Spartans. Bev and William loved spending time at Lake Michigan, taking in all the beautiful sights and feeding the birds.
Memories of Beverly are being cherished by her loving husband, William; daughters: Robin (Brian) Stoner and Susan (Albert) Frankovich; grandchildren, Sarah, Amy and Thomas Frankovich; sister-in-law Julie Austin and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Phillip Austin.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Crestwood United Methodist Church of Muskegon, 1220 Creston St. Visitation: 5-8 PM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave. Memorial Contributions may be made to the United Way of the Lakeshore Imagination Library Fund.
