Prof. Andrew Leon Winsor, 75, of 32 Cornell Street, died at home.

Prof. Winsor received his bachelor and master's degree from the University of Utah. He earned his doctorate at Cornell University in 1929.

He was Professor in the Department of Rural Education at Cornell and became the first Dean of the School in 1955. Later he was director of the Comparative Extension Education Project which was supported by a grant from the Ford Foundation.

He was a member of a number of professional organizations among them, the American Assn. for the Advancement of Science, and the the American Psychological Assn. Locally, he was a member of the Ithaca Board of Zoning Appeals and the Ithaca Rotary Club and he served as director of the Ithaca South Side Community Center.

Dr. Winsor is survived by his wife, Ina; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest W. Pringle of Burlington, Vermont and Mrs. Gordon L. Pritchard of Ithaca; three grandchildren.
