HUNTER, LYDIA LAGE WOODRING, 50, born in Illinois on December 24, 1955 passed away at her home on Saturday, October 7, 2006 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Lydia was raised and lived in Louisville all her life. Mrs. Hunter practiced as a massage therapist for over 20 years and was an active member of the American Massage Therapy Association. In addition to her private practice, she also served as the secretary and treasurer of the Kentucky Massage Therapy Association. Lydia will be sadly mourned and missed, but always lovingly remembered by her many friends and her family.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, their four sons, and also by her precious grandson. Lydia is also survived by her adored father-in-law along with 10 brothers and sisters, including her devoted and loving sister, best friend, and caregiver, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY (502-451-4420). Visitation is 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Lydia's memorial service will also be at Highlands at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Graveside services will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Rd. Lydia's family asks you to honor her wish for St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Alliance of Community Hospice to receive any remembrance gifts.
