Marian was born May 28, 1930 in South Bend, to the late Larry and Helen Skowronski. On June 20, 1953, Marian married her loving husband, Ervin “Cecil” Ciesielski; he passed away in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard (Gladys) Skowronski.
Survivors of Marian include her children, Debra Ciesielski and Terry (Heather) Ciesielski; grandchildren, Chelsea (Josh) Miller, Allie (Randy) Becker, and Hillary (Rusty) Collins; and great-grandchildren, Bailey-Marie & Brent Miller, Greyson & Brody Collins.
In Marian's early years she enjoyed riding bikes with family and friends, and going to Deer Forest, Santa's Village, and bowling trips with her family. She went to feather (card) parties with her mother and daughter. Marian had many Pen Pals to whom she wrote letters for many years, beginning in grade school. She acquired a nice assortment of collector spoons, most of which were sent from her Pen Pals in other states and countries. Marian also enjoyed crocheting, cooking for her family, baking, canning, and maintaining her flower and vegetable garden. She loved her cats, especially Ouija, who was always on her lap.
Visitation will be held 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, March 23, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
