Max Bernstein, 99, of Los Angeles, died of heart complications on March 14, 2018. Born in Worcester and a resident there for much of his life, Mr. Bernstein was a co-owner, with his family, of a large number of apartment buildings in the central area of Worcester. Mr. Bernstein also spent time in Jupiter, FL and Nantucket, MA. He was a veteran of WW II and served for three years in the South Pacific, and saw the flag raising at Iwo Jima.
