Dennis was born in Denver to Harry and Gladys (Ginther) Bauer June 26, 1946.
He is survived by sons, Jeffery Todd Bauer (New York), his wife Ariane; and Nicholas Sinclaire Morris (Denver). Grandfather of Marco Bauer (Naples, Italy) and Levon Sanders Bauer (New York). Also survived by brothers, Rodney, Gary and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dennis was a longtime teacher at Coronado Elementary School in Jefferson County.
He attended Lincoln and Schmitt Elementary Schools; Kunsmiller and Rishel Junior High Schools and Lincoln High School in Denver. He also attended the University of Denver, where he was active in student publications.
Following a stint in the Air Force, Dennis graduated from the University of Colorado (Phi Beta Kappa). He was an accomplished photographer and writer.
After retirement, Dennis enjoyed hiking and nature photography.
