February 16, 1960 - January 27, 2018
I was given the gift of life, and now I have to give it back. This is hard. But I was a lucky lady, who led a happy life. For this I am grateful. I struggled with a rare blood disorder but chose to be positive and focus on the beauty around me.
I was born to wonderful parents, James D. and Muriel S. Martin who now live in South Ogden, Utah.
I am the middle child of six. I say goodbye to my siblings; Sherryl Bigelow (Brent) -Sandy, Utah, Kathy Lukes (Dan) -Syracuse, Utah, Douglas Martin (Cyndi)-Toquerville, Utah, Wendy Walker (Mark) –Evergreen, Colorado, Randy Martin (Diana) –Sandy, Utah.
I was born in Delta, Utah, but grew up in Sunset, Utah and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1978. I married Billy Kennedy Jr. and later divorced. I lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, Michigan, and Houston, Texas. I loved to travel, taking in the beauty of this world, particularly the ocean and mountains. My favorite place to visit was Malaysia.
I loved sharing my talents in cooking, flower arranging, gardening, tatting, crocheting, decorating, and playing Japanese Koto which brought joy to me and those around me.
My greatest accomplishments in life are my children; Tiffany, Billy III, Natalie, Aubree, and Lacie. My only regret is that I will not have more time to cuddle my beautiful grandchildren; Zaki, Zahraa, Kal, Summer, and Zayna.
Please share your love with my family at the Visitation at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Friday, February 2, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and the Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 1:00 pm, with visitation from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm.
I am grateful to Dr. Zoghi at the San Antonio Hospital and the nurses and doctors at the McKay and LDS Hospitals that cared for me and to Hospice that so kindly gave assistance.
