Jason Carter, age 41, was born October 3, 1976 to Thomas L. and Inez V. (Crane) Carter in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Jason proudly attended Coeur d'Alene schools. Jason married Kellie (Maxwell) Carter on November 5, 2005 in Post Falls. Jason worked as a ranch caretaker at K-Bar Ranch, and as an auto machinist with his father at Carter's Automotive. Jason had many interests, to include hunting, fishing, camping, and working on cars. However, his main and most important activity was spending time with his daughter, Karsen. If you ever had the pleasure of seeing him in full makeup and nails, it's because he and Karsen had a make-up party the night before. Jason was one of those people whom everybody liked immediately because of his simplicity, because of his nature, because of his naturalness, because of his personality, because of his originality. He was one of a kind. Jason was known affectionately as "Uncle Buddy", and was just that – a true friend. Survivors include his wife and BFF, Kellie, of Post Falls; daughter, Karsen, of Post Falls; parents: Tom and Inez Carter, of Coeur d'Alene; parents-in-law, Sherman and Rosalind Maxwell, of Post Falls; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Bridget Carter and their children, Clayton and Brynn, of Coeur d'Alene; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tammy and Josh VanBrunt and their children, Jadyn and Carter, of Post Falls. Jason had numerous close friends who he also considered to be his family. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents; and older brother, Marshall Carter.
