Mrs. Agnes S. Gale, 84, of 5844 Stony Island av., widow of Henry Gordon Gale, former University of Chicago physicist and dean of the university’s division of physical sciences, died last night in Mercy hospital. Mrs. Gale was a painter and sculptor whose works were exhibited in the Art Institute and at the University of Chicago. Her father, the late John Williston Cook, was president of Illinois State Normal university, Normal, and Northern Illinois university DeKalb. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Valentine, two grandchildren, and a brother.
