Jimmie was born on January 4, 1940, to Charles and Loretta Walsh Wade. He was the first baby born in Puyallup in 1940. His sister Sandra, and his brother Richard. His father was a truck driver and the family lived on a farm where they grew strawberries, raspberries and string beans. All of the children worked on the farm grooming and harvesting the berries. Jimmie had a paper route when he was young and was in the Boy Scouts. The family enjoyed camping at White Pass. When his mother worked in the cannery, Jimmie often prepared dinner for the family. Jimmie graduated from Puyallup High School in 1958. He had developed an interest in cars, motorcycles and drag racing. He had crashed 13 different cars his first year out of high school learning how to maneuver them in different situation. It would be the beginning of lifelong hobby of auto mechanics and building street hot rods. He raced motorcycles and drag races and won a number of trophies. He worked as a mechanic at Titus Will Ford in Tacoma. And he followed his dad as a trucker. When his brother Richard returned from Viet Nam, they bought a couple of dump trucks and went into business. When Richard moved to Montana, Jimmie developed the Wade Trucking Company with Sharon his third wife.

On September 12, 1959 he married JoAnne Suttler Anderson Divorced in 1960. They had a daughter Debbie, he did not know about. Her mother put her up for adoption. She didn't find her paternal family until after Jimmie's death in 2020.

On July 5, 1960, he married Patricia Mae Hill in Post Falls, Idaho. They lived in Seattle and ran a Gas Station.
They had a son Donald . Their marriage ended in 1966. Donald lived with Jimmie for a number of years.

Jimmie married Sharon Lee Wood Cloin on March 20, 1967 in Tacoma, Washington. Sharon had three children, Randy, Julie and Jamie. They made their home in Puyallup and then in Graham. Jimmie was a trucker for Interstate Trucking and Kooey Trucking. Jim and Sharon operated Wade Trucking for many years. They drove sleeper team on long distance hauling across the country.

During this time Jimmie fathered another daughter, Christine, who didn't learn of her parentage until revealed by her mother, (confirmed by Ancestry DNA) in 2020.

Jimmie drove many trips up and down the coast to California and back. He had loads that took him sometime across country. On one trip to California, he took his mother for the ride there and back. But he got a load of lettuce for upstate New York. His mother went along for the ride. They had a chance to see Niagara Falls while they were there.
He had an English Sheep dog he took on his truck with him all the time. When Moses knew Jim was leaving he would jump in the bath tub to have his bath so he could go.
On June 28, 1978, his father died suddenly and is buried in the Orting Cemetery, near the family farm.

Jimmie and Sharon were married for 28 years. After their divorce, Jimmie became a driver for Lannier Brug Trucking Company as a contract hauler.

His son Donald married Sheli . Together they had two children: AJ and Britta.
On August 26, 2000, just five months ago, he married Connie Robbins. Connie was a friend of Jimmie's sister Sandra and had trimmed Jimmie's old English sheep dog "Moses" many times. Jimmie and Connie were just moving into their home after consolidating the household goods during the past several months. At this past Christmas time, Jimmie and Connie celebrated with his stepson Randy and his wife, Barbara and their son Joe. They shared stories and their common interest of trucking and music. Randy drives a logging truck. Jimmie and Connie often went to hear Randy and his band play.
Jimmie had many interests and hobbies. He had a lifelong fascination with cars, particularly street rods. Sometimes he started with the first bolt and rebuilt and repainted the whole car. He had the ability to begin and finish a project and do it right all the way through to the end. He played the organ, mouth harp, "squeeze box" (accordion), and bones. He followed his father's musical ability. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He and his brother Richard went hunting with their dad many times. He enjoyed scuba diving. He loved to eat and he loved to cook. He loved to go fast in cars, trucks, snowmobiles, and boats. He enjoyed swap meets. He was an honest man and met and dealt with people in a fair way. He made many friends wherever he went.
He talked to Connie on Thursday night and said he wasn't feeling well. On Friday early morning, he was returning from a haul to Spokane. He radioed another trucker to check on him because he still was not feeling well. Jimmie drove into the truck stop in Ritzville. Leaving the cab he collapsed and died suddenly. He leaves Connie his beloved wife of five months, his mother Loretta Wade, his sister Sandra, and his brother Richard and his wife Kay of (Montana). His son Donald, and two daughters Debbie and Christine, his grandchildren AJ and Britta, his step-children Randy and his wife Barbara and their son Joe, Julie and her husband Terry Mann and their children, and Jamie and her husband Gene and their two children.
He is buried beside his father Charles Wade in the Orting Cemetery which is near the family farm on the Orting Kapowsin Highway.
