Helene Elizabeth Jensen
was born December 7th, 1889, at
Marathon, lowa, the only child of
Hans S. Sondergaard and Marie
Chrlstensen Sondergaard. She was
raised In the Newell Community
receiving her education in a rural
school. She also attended Danneborg
School at Tyler, Minnesota for one
year.

On March 6, 1912, she was united In
marriage to Will O. Chrlstensen. To
this union, two sons were born, Harry
of Newell, lowa, and Clifford of McCallsburg, lowa.

In 1923, she and the two boys moved
to Enumclaw. Washington. On June
12, 1925, she was married to Martin
Jensen. To this union one daughter
was born — Ella Marie, now Mrs.
Gilbert Martin of Ames, lowa.
In 1933, she returned to the Newell
community where she has since made
her home. In March of 1966, she
became a resident of the Newell Good
Samaritan Center.

She is survived by her sons, Harry
and Clifford, their wives, a daughter,
Ella Marie and her husband; seven
grandchildren and two great grand
children.
