Born in Albany, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth McGeough Cassidy and beloved husband of Rita Noel Cassidy of Cohoes.
Daniel attended the Christian Brothers Academy and furthered his education at Siena and St. Rose, once he was honorably discharged from the Air Force.
Daniel was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
He retired after 39 years of service from the former NY Telephone Company, where he worked as a Service Technician.
Aside from spending time with his family Daniel enjoyed golfing.
In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by his loving children; retired Army Colonel Daniel (Jacqueline) of Virginia, Joseph and Peter Cassidy of Cohoes, and Thomas (Jennifer) Cassidy of Illinois. He was the proud grandfather of 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
Interment with full military honors will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
