Jay Johnston, 86 passed away February 16, 2017 in Ardmore, Oklahoma following an extended illness.
The son of the late Dee Alma and Ola Reynolds Johnston, he was born July 17, 1930 in Gallatin, Texas.  Upon graduating from high school, Jay enlisted in the United States Army June 12, 1951.  He served during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze service stars, and the United Nations Service Medal.  He was honorably discharged March 11, 1953 and began his career in the oil and gas field.  He worked for several companies over the years retiring with Sun Oil Company as their Human Resource manager.
He is survived his son Rick Johnston, grandchildren, Adriane E. Johnston, Abigil M Johnston, Aislan M. McClain, and Catherine A. Johnston as well as numerous great grandchildren.  His parents, a daughter, Jana Lyn McClain and his siblings all preceded him in death.
