J.C. was the son of the late Ray Hill Lyon and Robbie Mathes Lyon of the Fort Henry/Blue Spring community in the now Land Between the Lakes. He was married to Naomi J. Earhart Lyon for nearly 58 years and had two children, Lisa Katherine Lyon Polarek (John) and James Anthony Lyon (Tammy). He had 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. J.C. worked for Baggett and Burney Electric in Clarksville Tennessee for 7 years, the Stewart County Board of Education for over 45 years as Maintenance Supervisor and was the State of Tennessee Deputy Electrical Inspector for Stewart County for over 25 years. He also raised cattle on his farm for many years. He spent the last few years of his life enjoying time spent with his wife Naomi staying around home and going to eat out from time to time.
