Jeanie M. Dobmeier, 95, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Friendship Haven Simpson Health Center.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Corpus Christi Church with Rev. Dan Guenther and Msgr. Kevin McCoy concelebrating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
Jeanie is survived by her children, Terry (Joan) Dobmeier of Omaha; Dani (Scott) Holliday of West Des Moines; grandchildren; Tara (Bret) Dennis, Angela (John) Corbett, Paul Holliday and Julia Holliday, great grandchildren, Cecilia Dennis, Avery Corbett and Reagan Corbett; and her sister, Collette Coughlon of Fort Dodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mae (Connors) Fowler; husband, Edward in 1963; brother, Clement Fowler; sisters, Charlene Senay; Frances Ryan, and Modesta Gross.
Regina Monica Fowler was born January 1, 1922 in West Bend. As a young child, she moved with her family to a farm near Manson. Jeanie graduated from Barnum High School in 1939. After graduation, she worked for Tobin Packing for a couple of years. In 1952, Jeanie was united in marriage to Edward Dobmeier at Corpus Christi Church and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. In 1964, Jeanie became employed at the Mercy St. Joseph's Hospital, which later became Trinity Regional Hospital. She worked as an X-Ray Technician for over 35 years until her retirement.
