Frank E. Carter, 74, of 1032 Westhaven Blvd., died Oct. 5, 1987, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. Services are 3:30 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home chapel with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Canton, Mr. Carter had been a longtime resident of Jackson. He was a retired employee of the City of Jackson, a veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post No. 1 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 687 of Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Carter; daughters, Mrs. Nancy Rogers of Jackson, Mrs. Brenda Malone of Memphis and Mrs. Mary Ward of Alexandria, Va.; son, Frank E. Carter Jr. of Charlotte, N. C.; sister, Mrs. Thelma Holt of Clinton; seven grandchildren; and one niece.
