GRATZ- Gerald Ray Wiest, age 84, of Gratz passed away on March 19, 2018 at Premier of Susquehanna in Millersburg.
Gerald was born in Gratz on Aug. 28, 1933 the son of the late James and Catherine Hain Wiest. He was also preceded in death his wife Janet Pottiger Wiest, sister Grovene Wiest Straub and brother Kenny Wiest.
Gerald was retired from PA DOT after 30 years of service. Gerald and his late wife Janet who he married on June 11, 1960 in Halifax were involved with the Gratz Bicentennial. He was also a member of the Brothers of the Brush.
Surviving are a son Jerry (LeAnn) of Dalmatia, grandson Raiden Wiest, brothers Warren, Donald and Lynn and a sister Alma Wiest Fetterolf.
