Norman Cox, age 77, of Salem, died Monday, March 19th, 2018, at Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. He retired from Fabick Tractor Company, starting as a mechanic and working his way up to shop foreman and service manager. He was custodian at Franklin Park School for two years following retirement and was also custodian at Salem City Hall. During all his working years, he was an active carpenter. Norman was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Funeral services for Norman D. Cox will be held at 11 Thursday morning at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Salem, with father Ben Stern, officiating. Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery in Salem. Visitation will be from five to seven Wednesday evening at the Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Theresa Catholic Church or the Donor's Choice and may be left at the Rogers Atkins Funeral Home in Salem.

Norman Cox was born on May 15th, 1940 in Salem to George A. Cox and Emma L. (Jeffords) Cox. He married Dorene (Costliow) Cox of Salem on July 7th, 1962 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Salem.

Norman Cox was preceded in death by a son: Tom Cox; brothers: Manford Cox, George A. Cox Johnny Cox, and Wayne Cox; sisters: Vivian Babb, Alice McKenzie, Mary Stevenson and Vennie Tumbleson.
