"Minnie Kennedy, a homemaker who lived in Bowie for more than 40 years, died at her home on Nov 20. She was 83. Mrs. Kennedy was born on Sept. 24, 1895 in Franklin County, Texas and moved to Bowie from Littlefield, Texas in 1944. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowie.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 in the First Baptist Church of Bowie with the Rev. Foster Smith officiating. Burial followed at Desert Rest Cemetery in Bowie.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her husband, T. W. Kennedy of Bowie; a daughter, Erlene Kennedy, also of Bowie; five brothers, Nello Perett of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Joe of Mt. Vernon, Texas, Roggie of Winnsboro, Texas, John of Mt Pleasant, and Elmer of Bryce, Texas; two sisters, Jewel McCrory of Springtown, Texas and Olene Irby of Winnsboro, Texas; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren."
