Regina Sue Martin, 70, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio died in her sleep on March 16th, 2018, in her own bed, in her own beautiful home. Born August 6th, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Regina is preceded in death by her parents, World War II Veteran Raymond Hinson, and loving mother Marjorie Parrish Hinson. Regina went to high school at Anderson Township and graduated in 1965. She went on to graduate from the The Katharine M. Betz School in Cincinnati. From there she gained employment at Super X Drug Company in Downtown. She met her husband on the 22nd floor of what is now the Kroger Building assisting him in auditing of the Super X Books. They were married on May 10th, 1969 and had two children Rebecca Martin Forbes and James William Martin Jr.

They moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1979. Regina was active in her community via the Methodist Church attending Bible Studies, Service Groups, and she was always willing to be the star of the Potluck Dinner. She was also willing to make cookies, cakes, or pies for bake sales, and was active in the PTA. She also enjoyed being Room Mother, Team Mother, and the "Art Lady", sharing her love for classic art with her children's classes.

Regina's creative outlets were Sewing, Dress Making, Quilting, Smocking, Crochet, Needlepoint, Gardening, and caring for her gorgeous Roses. She loved color. She was even featured in Sewing Magazines, as making ornate dresses for her Granddaughters absolutely brought her the most joy. She loved to travel with her husband and family getting to all 50 states and beyond.

After moving to Florida, she spent every summer vacation traveling back to Cincinnati to spend time with her family. She loved her Cincinnati sports teams, most of all the Cincinnati Reds. She had many hobbies and collections and enjoyed seeking out Antique Shops and Shows along her travels. From Porcelain Figurines, to glassware, to Victorian Furniture, she had a deep appreciation for Art, Beauty and Craftsmanship.

Regina is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Hinson and Marjorie Parrish Hinson; Regina is survived by her husband James William Martin, her younger sister Carolyn Boatman and little brother Dan Hinson. She had two Children Rebecca Martin Forbes and James William Martin Jr. Regina's pride and joy were her Grandchildren, Meghan Forbes, Chelsea Forbes and Tommy Forbes fathered by Thomas Andrew Forbes of Fort Pierce, Florida.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Regina's Doctors. Dr. Kenneth Hentschel, Dr. Lee Epstein, Dr. Sabrina Caceres, and Dr. Barbra Rapaport, all helped Regina navigate a myriad of unique health issues and undoubtedly kept her here with us a few extra precious years. Funeral service will be held at Hardage-Giddens, The Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32207 on Wednesday, March 21st, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, THE OAKLAWN CHAPEL, 4801 San Jose Blvd is serving the family.
