A Celebration of Life for Sally Mae Cullum Hall, who passed on March 10, 2018, will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2 PM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 732 Tennessee St., Daytona Beach. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be Friday Mar. 16, from 5 to 7 PM at Pinello Funeral Home, 1036 Derbyshire Rd., Daytona Beach.
Sally Mae Hall was born in Aiken, South Carolina, to the late Moses Cullum and Mary Kimble on June 26, 1935. She received her formal education through the Aiken public school system, where she excelled in her studies. Sister Hall married the late Johnnie Willie Hall, Sr. and moved to Florida in 1956. She was employed in the Volusia County School District for thirty-two years before retiring in the early 90's. Sister Hall has been a long-time, faithful member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church. She loved singing in the choir and assisting in the culinary ministry. She also enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family. Sister Hall was affectionately known as "Aunt Sal" and "Grammy."
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Hall, Sr. and grandson; Patrick Hall. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: sister, Catherine Johnson of Aiken, South Carolina; son, Johnnie Hall, Jr. of Daytona Beach FL.; daughters, Patricia Hall & Betty Smith (James) of Daytona Beach FL; ten grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren and other loving relatives & friends.
