Teresa Speir Sellers, 71 passed away on March 4, 2017 in Gulfport, MS. She was a graduate of Forest Hill High School, Mississippi College, Auburn University and The University of Memphis. She was employed in the cable business for 25 years, primarily as a General Manager in multiple locations across the nation. She worked at William Carey University, Coast Business Journal, owner of Coast Books which operated in downtown Gulfport for 8 years and as a Counselor with the Small Business Development Center for USM and Ole Miss. She was a member of St. Peter's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Gulfport.

Teresa loved her time in the cable television industry because it challenged her to learn something new every day. The technology was changing and it meant that she had to keep learning.

One of her favorite things with Coast Books was the creation of "The Symphony of Authors" which was held on the first Thursday of December. She would bring in 10 -15 local and nationally known authors into the store for one night.

She was an avid reader, swimmer and amateur photographer. She loved traveling with multiple trips to Europe, Costa Rica, Cuba, with San Francisco being her favorite city in the US.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest E. Sellers; and parents, Thomas. J. Speir and Mary E. Baskin.

She is survived by her daughter Paula Sellers of Lexington, KY; Grandsons, Kristian S. Betz (Laurie) of San Francisco, CA and Michael A. Betz (Liza) of Lexington, KY; 4 Great-grandchildren, Michael, Elodie, Conway and Benjamin; Sisters, Susan Barfield (Terry) of Madison, MS and Melinda Bledsoe (Dennis) of Madison, MS; Niece, Allyson W. McAdams (Ian) of Madison; Nephew, Kenny Willoughby (Lisa) of Madison; and Sister-in-Law, Joyce Sellers of Florence, AL.

In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to the St. Peter's by- the-Sea, Hand bell Choir, 1909 15th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, Gulfport with the Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
