William “Mark” Buckner went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2018. He was surrounded by family and friends. Mark was born September 17, 1964 in Mountain View, Missouri to Ernest Clinton Buckner “Buck” and Loretta Patricia “Pat” (Smith) Buckner. His mother precedes him in death.
Mark is survived by his two children, Sarah Stanley of Bella Vista, AR and Jacob Buckner of Cassville, MO; his father, Ernest of Winona, MO; three stepsons, Evann Lee, A. J. Lee, and Cody Lee; three sisters, Terri Grosze of Mountain View, MO, Andrea Wright of Mountain View, MO, and Amber Douglas of Cassville, MO; one brother, Dan Buckner of Cassville, MO; and 11 grandchildren.
He graduated from Liberty High School in 1982. Mark worked very hard every day of his life. Anyone that knew him will speak to his character and work ethic. He also had a very active lifestyle outside of work, playing sports, hunting, camping and canoeing. Beyond work and play, Mark had the amazing ability to make everyone around him laugh. He had a kind and caring heart and never met a stranger.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Visitation will be held also at the funeral home from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Teresita, Missouri, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary.
