Memorial services for Vicki Jordan, 77, of Fairmont, MN, will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont at a later date. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Vicki passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, at her home in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Victoria “Vicki” Lou Jordan was born on October 3, 1940 in Emmetsburg, IA to Harry and Julia (Jedwski) Fordyce. She received her education from Fairmont High School and graduated with the Class of 1958. After high school, she attended Mankato State College where she earned her degree in education.

On December 23, 1961, Vicki was united in marriage to Bernard (Ben) Jordan at the Fairmont United Methodist Church. After their marriage, Vicki and Ben lived in Sherburn, MN, Adams, MN, Devils Lake, ND and eventually moving back to Fairmont, MN after their retirement. Vicki worked as a social studies and physical education teacher and as a State Program Director for REM in North Dakota. She was also a girls basketball coach for St. Mary’s High School in Devils Lake, ND. While living in Adams, MN, Vicki was the first woman elected to the Adams town council. Vicki enjoyed playing party bridge, duplicate bridge, ballroom dancing and was an avid fisherman. In high school, Vicki enjoyed hunting.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ben Jordan of Fairmont; daughter, Marilyn (Joel) St. Germaine of New Town, ND; son, Tenis Scott of Fairmont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald (Rose) Jordan of Fairmont, Harley (Roxy) Jordan on Mound and Diane Jordan of Mound; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Kayle and Irene Jordan; brothers, Gordon (Arlyss) Fordyce and Dean (Betty) Fordyce; and sister, Dorothy Fordyce.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the “Dream Team” oncology nurses in Fairmont.
