Stephen King, is the son of Nahum and Sarepta Norton King. He was born July 13, 1818, Madison County, Ohio. He married Anna Moriah “Maria” Allen Dec. 25, 1843, Madison County, Ohio. They traveled to Oregon with his parents and extended family in 1845 and were members of Stephen Meek’s Lost Wagon Train. The families traveling to Oregon settled in King’s Valley, and also near Wren and Lewisburg, in Benton County, Oregon. Stephen settled an Oregon Donation Land Claim #5196 Nov. 1, 1851. This is where he died and is buried. Stephen and Anna had one child, Charles Allen King, (1848-1915), Find a Grave Memorial #9552144. Stephen’s widow, Anna Moriah “Maria” Allen King married Stephen’s younger brother, Sol King, Nov. 20, 1853, Benton County, Oregon. Her Find a Grave Memorial number is #19049465. Gravesite Details

Stephen is buried in an orchard near his home on his Oregon DLC. The house and grave marker are gone, but the orchard remains as of June 2017 when members of Kings Family Association of Oregon visited the site.
