Carolyn Snider, 84, of Springfield passed away peacefully on March 16, 2018. She was born October 5, 1933 in Springfield, to Elmer and Zelda (Ray) Fields.
She married Billy “Jr” Snider. Carolyn was a Girl Scout Leader, a member and leading force in the Marine Corp League Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed crocheting and was very involved in genealogy…tracing her heritage back to the 1700’s and establishing her Cherokee heritage.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years Billy “Jr”. She is survived by her daughters; Debbie Beesley and Linda and Angela Snider; 3 grandsons William and George Beesley and Ronin Morrill; 2 sisters, Barbara Vinsant and Marilyn Gilmore and 1 brother Elmer “Jr” Fields.
A Graveside service at Eastlawn Cemetery, Springfield.
