Mrs. Florence L. Bottom
SPRINGFIELD Funeral for Mr. Lanham Bottom, Springfield, Rt. 3 mother of former (Spl.)-Florene 63, of B step-mother of former Perryville Mayor Buford Bottom will be held at 4 p.m. today at Beech Grove Baptist Church in Washington County.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Carey and Son Funeral Home here.
Mrs Bottom died at 12:34 a m Friday at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital in Danville after a brief illness She entered the hospital Monday.
A Washington County native, she was born Feb 4, 1913, to the late George and Mattie K. Hair Lanham. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Marion County.
Mrs. Bottom's first husband, Luther Burns, died in January, 1937, and her second husband, Arvel Bottom, died in May, 1975
Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Bottom of Battle Creek, Mich.; two sons, Jake Burns of Perryville and Bob Burns of Groveton, N.H.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Blanche Robinson of Harrod-sburg and Mrs. Joyce Paul of Louisville; one other step-son, William Bottom of Battle Creek, Mich.; three brothers, William L. Lanham of Springfield and Johnny and Clarence Lanham, both of Gravel Switch; 11 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren, 21 step-grandchildren and a number of step-great-grandchildren.
