Roger Lee Hatfield, age 75, of Ballard, WV, was the son of the late Steven and Violet Hatfield. He was a dedicated servant of the Lord. He was in nursing home ministry for 35 years, visiting three nursing homes and one assisted living home every month, also making home visits to the sick and shut in of the community. He was an Evangelist for 20 years and Pastor of New Zion Regular Baptist Church for the past ten years. He loved ministering to people everywhere he went. Additionally, Roger served three years in the United States Navy. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his foster parents George and Genevieve Jensen; nine brothers and sisters; one son, Roger Steven; one daughter, Cynthia; and his father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Mildred Adkins. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, June Hatfield; his children, Becky Shrader, Jeff Hatfield, Kim Thomason, and Rhonda Thomason; and one brother, Homer Hatfield
