Following high school, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of SP 4. He served with the 228th S&S Co. in Viet Nam. Bob worked for various companies retiring from Deans Foods (Meadow Brook Dairy) in Erie. He was a member of American Legion Post 237 in Union City and enjoyed going to tractor auctions.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Larry E. Adams, Sr.; and a nephew, Larry E. Adams, Jr.
Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Melody A. Kirik Adams. They were married on July 14, 1973; two sons, Joseph Adams (Jen) of Cambridge Springs and Shawn Adams (Keri) of Union Town, Pa.; two brothers, Ernest Adams, of Corry and Jerry Adams (Diane) of Union City; two sisters, Beverly Morton (Ron) and Arnette Brown, all of Union City; and two grandsons.
Burial, with full military honors, in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Union City, Pa.
