Ms. Wanda Crawley Dixon, age 68, entered into rest on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

Funeral Services will be 5:00 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Lower Macedonia Baptist Church by Dr. Lindsay Powell and Rev. John L. Melton, III with burial to follow in the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 3:30 – 5:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Ms. Dixon was born January 29, 1950 in Monroe, NC a daughter of Will Frank “Hank” Crawley and the late Bonnie Rae Griffin Crawley. She was a 1968 graduate of Chesterfield High School and attained her associate’s degree from Chesterfield – Marlboro TEC. She was a former employee of Chesterfield General Hospital and retired from Cheraw Healthcare as a Medical Records Clerk. A faithful member of Lower Macedonia Baptist Church, Wanda served on the cemetery committee, the bereavement committee, and as church historian for many years.

Ms. Dixon enjoyed researching genealogy and helping others with family history. She volunteered of her time at the Chesterfield Genealogical Society and the Woodmen of the World Youth Camp. Wanda was a lady who will be remembered for her efforts to always help others and those trademark hugs that she greeted everyone with.

In addition to her mother, Ms. Dixon was also preceded in death by her former husband, Ray Dixon.

Survivors include her children, Bridget (Bobby) Wilkerson, and Shirley Ann Gibson both of Patrick, SC; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Dawson, Heather, James, and Tyler; great grandchild, Madison; father, Hank (Mary Lou) Crawley of Chesterfield, SC; brothers, Will Arthur “Art” (Dorothy) Crawley of Emporia, VA, and Wayne (Deena) Burr of Lugoff, SC; sister, Elaine C. (Joe) Rogers of Patrick, SC; also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews whom she loved very much.
