Hubert A. Staggs Resident of Concord Passed away on January 1, 2007, at the age of 92. Born in Rushing, Arkansas, on June 14, 1914. Hugh retired from Carpentry after 30 years and then a fence Contractor for over 10 years. He loved to play the guitar and sing country songs, play golf and be with his family. His wife, Cathy, of 72 years, preceded him in death last March, 2006. He had five children: two sons, Wayne and Roger Staggs of Concord; 3 daughters: Mona Rotella of Carson City, Nevada, Sharon Decker of Concord, and Gail Ingram of Benicia; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grand-children and 8 great-great-grandchildren. He raised us up to more than we can be. We do not stand at your grave and weep. Your are not there, you do not sleep. We'll find you in the summer breezes that blow, in all the scented evening air. You'll be the joy of a task well done, we'll find you in the glow of a setting sun. You are our Pee Picken Papa with a song that will never end. You are the love of your family and friends. He will always be with us, when we need him we will whisper his name, and in our heart he will be there, because he was our bridge over troubled waters. He truly raised his children up to be more than we can be. His children rejoice that he is now with Jesus our Lord and Savior. Funeral services will be held at Oakmont Memorial Park at 2099 Reliez Valley Rd, Lafayette, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2007.
