Diana Gay Hartwich, 29 (for the 44th time), of Lenexa, Kansas passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Safehome of Johnson County (safehome-KS.org), the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Gay was born on February 26, 1945 in Lawrence, Kansas to the late Bernard and Sophie (Kratchman) Firestone. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a graduate of Southwest High School class of 1963 and went on to attend the University of Arizona. Gay was a supporter of the Safehome of Johnson County for many years, which helps victims of domestic violence. This was a cause that was very meaningful to her. She was the loving wife of her husband, proud mother of her two sons and grandmother to her three grandchildren. Gay could always be found wearing a smile on her face and a gleam in her eye.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ralph; sons: Korey and his wife Kaori and Ryan and his wife Rachael; grandchildren: Rowan, Sanae and Grayson; and siblings: Joy, Mark and Nancy.
