Myrtle V. Greever passed away on March 7, 2018 at the Elm Heights Care Center in Shenandoah.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Faith Covenant Church in Essex at 2:30 p.m. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.

Memorials may be directed to the Faith Covenant Church in Essex or to the Shenandoah Ambulance Service.

Myrtle Virginia (Lundgren) Greever, the daughter of William Martin Lundgren and Otelia Charlotta Eriksson Lundgren, was born at Yorktown, Iowa on March 20, 1928. She was educated in rural schools and graduated from Essex High School in Essex, Iowa. She attended commercial Extension Business School in Omaha, Nebraska. While attending business school she was a nanny for a family of twins. After receiving her degree she worked for Earl May Seed and Nursery Company for 40 years. She worked as a secretary in the nursery department.

On January 26, 1952 she was united in marriage to Keith Alvin Greever at the Fremont Evangelical Covenant Church in rural Essex. After their marriage they made their home in Shenandoah. To this union one daughter was born, Arlene. Myrtle was a member of the Fremont Evangelical Covenant Church, later transferring her membership to the Faith Covenant Church in Essex. Her interests were her family, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Leonard, Wesley, Vernon and Delbert Lundgren, two sisters, Harriett Wilcox and Laurine Lundgren, brother-in-law John Wilcox, Sr., sister-in-laws Hazel Lundgren and Phyllis Lundgren, a nephew Gordon Lundgren and one great nephew Jamie Wilcox.

Survivors include her husband Keith, her daughter Arlene Greever of Lincoln, Nebraska and one sister-in-law Nadine Lundgren of Essex. Myrtle is survived by many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Myrtle passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the age of 89, at the Elm Heights Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa where she had been a resident since September of 2015.
