The Lord called Samuel Harrison Berry, 94, to his eternal home on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

Harrison was born on February 15, 1924 to Samuel B. “Coonie” Berry and Virginia Humphreys Berry. He graduated from Falmouth High School in 1940. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946, Harrison went to work with his father at SB Berry and Sons Grocery in Falmouth. His beloved brother Franklin joined them sometime later, and the brothers continued in business until 2004. He also served as a Justice of the Peace in Stafford for 12 years. At age 81, Harrison went to work for Fredericksburg Auto Auction, where he made many friends and finally retired at age 87. He loved Falmouth, working, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Harrison also loved Falmouth Baptist Church of which he was a lifetime member.

Harrison is survived by his daughter, Vickie Boutchyard and son-in-law Herbie of the home; two grandsons, Shane Boutchyard (Scarlett) of Washington, NC and Zachary Boutchyard (Vanessa) of Spotsylvania; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kiley, Elijah, Ethan, Adrianna, and Kaitlyn; sister Anne Jones; and sister-in-law Nancy Berry. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Margaret; brother Franklin Berry; and sister Jennette Flippo.
