Died from a gunshot wounds at Fort Wrangle Alaska, by a Alaskian Indian named Scutd-doo.

He served in the Mexican War for 6 months and had a horse named " Dun Gelding " a five yr old

After serving in the Civil War with the Texas Marine Navy on the Confederate side, he did come up to San Francisco and is seen in the California Great Registers ( 1866 - 1910 ) living at 28 O'Farrell st S. F. Oct 13 1868
