Geraldine Agnes Garrett, 91, of Chickasha died on March 15, 2018 in Chickasha. She was born the daughter of John Janousek and Frankie Heying Janousek on September 19, 1926 in Cement, OK.

Geraldine grew up in the Cement and Cyril area and graduated from Cyril High School. She worked as a nurse’s aid at Southwestern Hospital in Lawton. She met her future husband Billy Garrett and they were married in 1947 in Chickasha. Mr. Garrett was in the Air Force which took them to many places in the United States as well as overseas. Eventually they settled in Brownwood, TX where she lived until recently moving to Chickasha.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son-in-law Frank.

Geraldine is survived by her son James W. Garrett and her daughter Frankie A. McCaig both of Lawton; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha. Chaplain Bill Holly will officiate.
