Steven Paul Bishop, 64, of Port Richey, formerly of Springfield, died Friday, February 23, 2018, at his home.

Steve was born August 2, 1953 in Springfield the son of Robert Paul and Elizabeth Ann Bishop. He graduated from Springfield High School class of 1971 and from Motorcycle Mechanic's school in 1973.

He owned and operated Bishop's Motorcycle Service & Parts in Springfield, competed in drag racing, and enjoyed riding every chance he got. He later returned to Florida where he continued to fulfill his passion for motorcycles working in his garage and at Venom Custom Choppers.

Steve was a proud father and grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends and found joy in making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marsha B. Glisson.

He is survived by his sons, Raymond P. Bishop (wife, Stacey) of Sherman, IL and Michael J. Bishop (wife, Elizabeth) of Williamsville, IL; daughter, Kara M. Glaub (husband, Eric) of Springfield, IL; Sister, Carol Duman (husband Jay) Riverside, CA: and 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 24, 2018 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Top Cat's, 3211 Sangamon Ave, Springfield, Illinois.
